Foothills Higher Education Center is operated by Western Piedmont Community College in order to provide increased educational access for the region. The center is occupied by the College’s Division of Continuing Education, as well as Appalachian State University, Lees-McRae College, and Western Carolina University. Programs are available here and online to enable local residents to complete bachelors and masters degrees.
